Identity

Well, it’s over. I have officially graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School. As the dust settles and the post-high school life kicks in, I find myself wondering what it is that defines me. What do I want to come to people’s minds when they think of Jason Radcliffe? To be sure, it is no longer E-town High School. Is it my seasonal warehouse job? My future plans? Friends? Family? I have been giving this some thought for about a month now, and have come to the conclusion that there is only one thing that I can identify myself with that really has lasting value:

“so we fix our eyes, not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” ~ 2 Corinthians 4:18

“our citizenship is in heaven” ~ Philippians 3:20

I’m not trying to say that I want to be some Christian freak who has no life or that I will from now on only speak in King James bible language… I am saying that the most important thing in my life is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and I want that to be clearly visible to the people I spend time with.
